Japan Set To take Casino Gamble

As world largest industrialized country Japan is opening its doors for casinos thus creating a fierce competition for Macau to attain the title of top gambling sites. The bill for making legalizing casinos and gambling is to be tabled in Japan’s parliament at the end of the year according to Japanese lawmakers. The bill if voted will the way for opening of casinos in Japan and could open up potential casinos around the world to enter into an agreement with Japanese companies for setting up casinos across Japan.

Japan is the only country among the developed nations of not having casinos and the ball was set rolling for over many years ago. But after the change in guard the discussion moved further and now being given final touches to the bill. If the bill was passed then it will give a big push to the economy and country can earn more money in the coffers with a population of 128 million. If the bill is passed it will have a big impact according to analysts. According to analyst firm CLSA by having two casinos in Tokyo and Osaka will generate 10 billion dollars in a year.

According to top US based consulting firm the figures will be more than estimated if gambling resort were allowed in hotels and shopping plazas, and other entertainment centers across Japan. The potential of Japan’s casino gaming trade is over 100 billion dollars with a rider it should be permitted to grow without any hindrance. But across the region Singapore has opened two casinos and the revenues are 5.3 billion dollars. But Macau is the biggest gaming up in the world and earns more than six times of revenues compared to Las Vegas casinos and it is possible with many top leaders of China.

But the income was less when compared to previous years. The Philippines and Vietnam are also in the race for becoming top of the regional market by setting up big casinos. But Japan with more wealthy people and close to China already legalized the betting on horse racing and football. But there is stiff opposition to the opening of gambling centers in Japan as it will increase organized crime and people will addict to gambling according to those who are against this bill.     Yeah! This step is also to increase their income through Tourism. As said in the blog the Japan also joins the race for “becoming top of the regional market by setting up big casinos”.

    Previously also they encouraged gambling with some exceptions. Horse betting and motor sports betting gave them a good income.
